Microsoft set to release its cloud ERP–Dynamics 365 Business Central Online in Nepal

काठमाडौं ।

Nepal has just taken a major step forward in the world of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) with the release of Dynamics 365 Business Central Online cloud in the region. Microsoft has announced that Business Central cloud, along with the Nepal localization (statutory and country-specific features), will now be available for companies in Nepal starting June 2023.

Dynamics 365 Business Central, with a customer base of more than 100 large scale and over 250 small and mid-sized companies, is one of Nepal’s most widely used ERP solutions. Globally, it has won the trust of over 160,000 customers and millions of users worldwide. With Microsoft finally releasing the application and its regional localization for Nepal, this can be a game-changer for SMEs and large-scale companies alike.

One of the most exciting aspects of Business Central Online is the reduction of operational cost. By implementing Business Central Online via subscription-based SaaS model, companies can eliminate the need for costly infrastructure, IT overhead, and technical resources, and other hassles. This allows organizations to transform their capital expenditure into operational expenditure through a simple, pay-as-you-go model.

Additionally, the “dual use rights” offered by the cloud version is a noteworthy feature. One of the biggest challenges in implementing cloud-based ERP has been meeting Inland Revenue Department (IRD)’s regulatory compliance. IRD requires billing data to be rested within Nepal’s boundaries and does not allow it to be hosted exclusively on cloud. However, with the availability of Business Central Online, customers will be now able to host their entire ERP data (finance, sales, purchase, supply chain, inventory, manufacturing) on the cloud while ensuring that a version of the billing data still stays on-premise. This will be achieved through the billing software developed by Agile Solutions, Microsoft’s Dynamics partner in Nepal. Companies can ensure total compliance with IRD (Inland Revenue Department)’s regulatory requirements while enjoying the full benefits of the cloud-based ERP.

Moreover, upgrades are now a breeze with Business Central Online as compared to the on-premises version as companies will be able to easily upgrade to the newer versions. Another interesting change is the ease of customization. Businesses can customize their ERP without the need for tables, code units, pages, etc. that were required to be purchased separately in the on-premise version.

Dynamics 365 Business Central Online also integrates seamlessly with Office 365 and thousands of other industry add-ons available on Microsoft AppSource, enabling companies to streamline their business processes and boost productivity using proven world-class solutions.

As a leading player in the enterprise business applications ecosystem, Microsoft has a well-established reputation for delivering innovative and reliable solutions. With Dynamics 365 Business Central Online, companies can leverage the trusted Microsoft platform powered by Azure cloud’s security and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing their data is secure. Microsoft invests millions of dollars every year into the Dynamics 365 suite to ensure that it remains at the forefront of technology, and this investment translates into unparalleled data security and stability for customers.

The rollout of Dynamics 365 Business Central has been led by Agile Solutions Pvt. Ltd., award-winning Microsoft Dynamics partner company and Nepal’s leading ERP consultant. Microsoft and Agile Solutions have joined hands in bringing this powerful solution to the Nepal market.

Stating June 2023, Dynamics 365 Business Central will be generally available for companies, along with the IRD-compliant Nepal localization module developed by Agile Solutions.
