Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has received a report of the taskforce formed to prepare a concept and work plan on integrated emergency response.
The taskforce report was submitted to DPM Shrestha by its coordinator Joint Secretary at National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, Bharatmani Pandey.
The taskforce has identified problems and challenges of emergency response, international practices, policy, structural and technical reforms needed for addressing the challenges.
The bodies involved in the disaster response and management and disaster communications are also included in the report.
