Team Visions Wins Hult Prize at Khwopa College of Engineering

काठमाडौं ।

Team Visions, a group of three students from Khwopa College of Engineering, emerged as the winners of the Hult Prize at Khwopa College of Engineering.

The event was held on February 17, 2024, at the college premises, where 12 teams pitched their innovative ideas to solve the 2024 challenge: Unlimited.

Team Visions presented their idea of creating a platform that connects skilled housewives or women with business to utilize their time and generate income for these women.

The team impressed the judges with their market research, business model, social impact, and presentation skills. They will receive an opportunity to represent Khwopa College of Engineering at the Hult Prize regional summit in June 2024, where they will compete with other teams from around the world for a chance to advance to the global finals and win the grand prize of USD 1 million.

The judges for the event were Raj Bikram Maharjan, CEO and co-founder of Galli Maps, a mapping and navigation app for Nepal, Nikita Jalan, CEO and co-founder of Petmama Nepal, a platform for pet care services, Niraj Bhatta, co-founder and CEO of Bibaabo.com, and Jatin Bhusal, CEO and co-founder of Ester Nepal.

“We are very proud of Team Visions and all the participants who showcased their amazing ideas and passion for social change. We are also grateful to our sponsors, judges, mentors, volunteers, and the college administration for their support and guidance. We hope that this event will inspire more students to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and make a positive difference in the world,” said Abi Shrestha, Campus Director of Hult Prize at Khwopa College of Engineering.
